Must you frequently clean the Shar-pei wrinkles?
No. Shar-Pei does not require any special treatment when bathing. Like any other breed, you must thoroughly rinse the shampoo from the coat and wrinkles. Although Shar-Pei hate water, they are easily trained to stand for a bath.
Because they are fastidiously clean, they greatly appreciate how they feel after a bath. A good dog shampoo and a simple towelling down to keep them from dripping on the carpet is all that’s required. The short coat naturally air-dries in a few moments.

Questa e’ una domanda molto frequente, dovuta ad una scarsa informazione sulla razza e dai media che hanno divulgato informazioni errate. No! Non bisogna pulire le piege e non è vero che si depositi la sporcizia. Non è vero che bisogna asciugare le pieghe una ad una. Per tenere pulito lo sharpei basta un bagno saltuario con uno shampoo per cani normalissimo. Non è vero che bisogna lavarlo con shampoo specifici.
